Import the world download zip file as a client in GDLauncher. Journeymap is provided for better navigation. Use the waypoints to teleport between notable areas in the world. Optifine and shaders are provided as well if you want to spice up the graphics.

This server was created in Summer 2011 as a survival server, but eventually was switched to creative. A survival world name Survivia was created. These two worlds were merged into one world in January 2012. The spawnpoint was moved from the Capital to Burj Survivia in Oceanopolis in April 2012. The server world is so massive that it takes about 20 minutes to travel by minecart between the Capital and Oceanopolis.

This is what the main RV Server world looked like at the date of its shutdown in September 2014. It was impossible to continue this server on newer versions of Minecraft without corruption, so new vanilla servers were made for version 1.8, but ultimately the switch was made towards modpacks and modded servers. At the height of this server there were 27 total players.
